A: No. We work with businesses of all sizes. Whether you are a start-up entity or a Fortune 500 company, Meta-Biz has the experience to provide the cost effective solutions you are looking for.

Q: What do you charge for an initial consultation?

A: Nothing. We feel it is critical to understand your needs and give you an opportunity to understand our services. The initial consultation is a critical part of this process for both Meta-Biz and our clients and always at no cost to you.

Q: My business or project is not located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Am I still able to work with Meta-Biz?

A: Absolutely. Although Meta-Biz is based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul market, we have significant experience working in a remote environment. We can travel when necessary; but in the current technological environment, significant work can be accomplished from a satellite location as well. This keeps costs down while still providing the excellent service.

Q: How does Meta-Biz bill for services?

A: Most of our services are billed at an hourly rate. However, in certain circumstances, we may bill on a monthly, quarterly, or annual fee basis. We're more than willing to work with you to determine the billing method that works best for your particular situation.

Q: Will Meta-Biz replace my CPA/tax preparer?

A: No. While Meta-Biz will work closely with your tax professional to provide you with the best possible business advice, we do not offer tax preparation services. That said, in working with your tax professionals, we may be able to improve the information provided to them, potentially shortening your tax preparation time and the related costs.

Q: Will information about my business remain confidential if I work with Meta-Biz?

A: Yes. The confidentiality of our client's business information is a core principle of Meta-Biz. We back this up with confidentiality clauses in all our engagement agreements.

Q: Why did you select the name "Meta-Biz"? What does it mean?

A: Meta-Biz literally means "business about business." Since our business is about supporting the success of your business, we felt nothing could be more fitting.
